Privacy Policy
Effective October 21, 2026
Trap-Log is a free record-keeping tool built by an independent developer and fellow trapper. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google.
- Trapper profile: name, WCO certification number, Wild ID, contact phone, email, and mailing address you enter.
- Trapping records: customer names and addresses, towns, counties, GPS location (only when you tap to autofill), weather, trap counts, catches, outcomes, and notes.
How it is used
Your data is used only to run the app: storing your jobs, building totals, and producing your WDFW report and downloads. We do not sell, rent, or share your data, and we do not show ads.
Who can see it
Records are separated by trapping team. Only members of your team can see your team's records. The developer can technically access the database and will only do so for maintenance, troubleshooting, or data recovery, or if required by law.
Outside services
When you use location autofill, your coordinates are sent to Google Maps to look up the address and to Open-Meteo to look up weather. Google sign-in is handled by Google. Nothing is sent to WDFW automatically — reports are only downloaded when you choose to.
Your choices
You can download all your records at any time from the Reports page. To ask the developer to delete your account and data, email bellinghamexterminator@gmail.com.
Security
Data is stored in an encrypted hosted database with access rules per team. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password private.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
